Instructions For Using Attachment Plates

The attachment plates are only for trucks with aluminum tailgates since magnets do not stick to aluminum.  If your tailgate is made of steel, then these are not needed.

The package contains three metal pieces.  The small one (1" X 12") attaches to the outside of your tailgate with 3M automobile tape.   It's made for cars and can be removed, yet it's strong enough to hold the plate in place as you add and remove the pad.  Simply remove the tape backing, line up and push the plate on.  That's it.  The two larger plates attaches to the rear of the tailgate with the same 3M auto tape.  Once both are attached you can simply add and remove your tailgate pad.  Pictures and installation video below.
